7/23/2023 0 Comments Ttv streamer looking like cave manI don't like the idea that right now, you could walk down the street, legitimately trip, but given a lack of context, people just laugh at someone's misfortune. To that end, streamers are trying to make money off it, and I'm not seeing anything from it.I find it pretty cruel and rude and I skip clips here that do that. A lot of streamers are very negative and even though we use monikers online, I don't like the idea of me having a bad play - whether because it's my fault or the game messed up - become a meme, even for a second online. I didn't agree to be part of someone's stream. Not to mention, just cause someone is a popular streamer, doesn't mean they know what makes a good game design.Ĭouple reasons from me. If you think about it, making design changes for about 1`% or less of your player base isn't always a good call. The devs will make balancing or other gameplay changes to make the game better for streamers and sometimes this is not the best change for the rest of the playerbase just trying to have a good time. That being said, most streamers do not fit in the "good streamer" category (else they'd already be popular, more times than not.).Īnother reason people do not like popular streamers is they recently have got the Dev's ear. Some streamers have a talent for the game that people find entertaining or good for learning how to get better. Some streamers just have good personality and public entertainment skills. Some people just enjoy the thought that something could happen and don't get too serious. Some people really do have something to offer the world, and thats why some streamers are successful. Obviously this doesnt apply to all streamers, but in general with a streamer i think you are going to see only extremes (the best, or the worst type of people the world has to offer). If you chose to stream you are likely very self centered, think you are special, think this is going to be your job, have unrealistic expectations of reality. The amount of streamers I see with ~10k followers and 100 YouTube subscribers blows my mind.īecause being a streamer says something about you as a person. My channel gained a lot of traction once I did and I met some great folks.Īlso for gods sakes make a YT channel. If you're reading this pretty negative thread around putting 'TTV' in your name I wouldn't worry about it. Very rarely you'd get someone dropping gamer words but I just muted/banned and moved on. yeah most of us aren't really fans of it either pal. My favorite was after a guy found out I was English, told me he'd always hated my 'shitty little island' which is like. Then occasionally you'd get a guy accuse you of cheating or slinging insults around, but even that is just kinda funny if you don't take it personally. Some people stuck around, even met some of the streamers I used to watch before I started myself and of them a couple have become regular teammates of mine, which is pretty great. It was mostly a positive experience, most people just came by to say 'GG' or gently give me shit for my loadout and we'd have a laugh about it. Mostly because Twitch will sure as shit not promote you, so you gotta get your name out there somehow. I am a relatively small streamer and for a while I had TTV in my name.
